Yoga Meets Circus Coach' is the next exciting event brought to you by 'The Yoga Menu'.
Do you want to learn the fundamentals to help you accomplish a deeper sense of flexibility? Then come and join us for an in-depth afternoon of guided deep stretching, inversions and yoga.
@Yoga.Meets 'Circus Coach' combines yoga asana with acrobatic flexibility techniques, providing you with fun new skills to apply to your home practice. Warming you up with some yoga, the wonderful Simone will guide you through a flow to get you warm and centred. Gunnar will then SWITCH IT UP, sharing his expert knowledge as he focuses on inversions (hand-balancing), and will get you bending like you have never bent before. Expect it all, as we work deep into your hips and hamstrings, shoulders and back, enjoying the amazing opportunity to learn from an international contortion coach. You will leave with the skills and confidence to enable you to go deeper in your self-practice. We will close the session with some more calming vibes from Simone as she guides you through a meditation, allowing you to rest and digest. Be prepared to laugh from your soul and get stretched in a fun and lighthearted way as we move through the afternoon to sounds of old-school R&B.

This is a 2.5 hour workshop offering you a safe space to breathe and be challenged.

2:00pm Coach Gunnar's warm-up and practice (Inversions, arm balancing, strength and flexibility conditioning).

Note - This is an open class but be prepared to push yourself.


Their Story:

Gunnar is an international contortion coach who has taught and performed all over the world. He has flown in from the US for one weekend only and has partnered up with his UK bestie Simone, founder of @theyogamenu and former yogi. Simone and Gunnar met over 7 years ago on a beautiful island in Thailand where Gunnar was teaching aerial skills and Simone, his student and Island bum. With the same birthday and too many things in common, they've been international BFF's ever since.

Gunnars Bio

Gunnar Field has spent the last 25 years training and teaching Movement handstands and acrobatics. He has studied and performed in Mongolia, China, Russia, Israel, and the U.S., which has provided him with a unique insight for teaching. Gunnar utilizes this worldly knowledge while creating his own style of integrative and active flexibility techniques. As a coach he interacts with his students through positive empowerment, his upbeat sense of humor, and high energy. For the last 5 years Gunnar Field has been based out of the Pacific Northwest.
