Yoga Philosophy Workshop - Yoga on and off the mat
Sun 2 April 2017, 14:00 – 16:00 BST
APPLYING YOGIC TEACHINGS TO EVERY DAY LIFE
There is more to yoga than some moves on a mat. Learn the importance and significance of asana practice (yoga postures), the healing effects of pranayama (breathing exercises), mediation and explore yoga philosophy to create harmonious and conscious living.
We will look into Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra, and Ashtanga, the 8 limbs of Yoga. The 8 limbs, or steps, are guidance on how to live a meaningful and purposeful life. They serve as a prescription for moral and ethical conduct and self-discipline; they direct attention toward one’s health; and they help us to acknowledge the spiritual aspects of our nature.
Come find out how you can develop your yoga practice to bring balance to your life, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
For all abilities.
