Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement," and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that flow through the power of inhaling and exhaling.

Vinyasa is a dynamic, flowing yoga practice.The routine practice of vinyasa yoga can increase muscle strength, endurance and flexibility, and reduce levels of stress.

Generally speaking, upward movements correlate with inhalations of the breath, and downward movements with exhalations.

The continual movements, from one pose to another, gives you an added cardiovascular benefit, which more traditional forms of yoga do not have.

Vinyasa is also the term used to describe a ​specific ​sequence of poses (Chaturanga (plank) to Upward-Facing Dog to Downward-Facing Dog​)​

All classes start with sun salutations to warm up then move through a variety of strength and flexibility building postures, ending with some well-earned relaxation.

Props are used in different poses to be adapted to the needs of the individual student; Props such as blocks and straps can be extremely useful in helping students safely achieve correct alignment in poses, while getting the maximum benefits and avoiding injury from over extension.
