Description

Yorkshire’s biggest beer festival returns from 19th - 22nd September to the beautiful 150 acres of tree-lined parkland called York Knavesmire with 500+ beers and 100+ ciders.

Ticket prices have been held at THE SAME PRICE as last year - we have just added the price of your special souvenir festival glass to the price of the ticket this year to ensure quicker entry via a FastTrack queue so you don't have to pay for a glass at the entrance. The £2.50 for the glass is REFUNDABLE when you exit if you wish.

Website: www.yorkbeerfestival.org.uk

Held in a huge marquee in the ClockTower Enclosure opposite the York Racecourse Grandstand, it features beers and ciders from all over the UK as well as a foreign beer bar, world wines, a food village and massive outside beer garden.

There will be live music at most sessions as well as beer related Fringe events which will be publicised on our website and social media.

A special Pullman return bus service direct to the venue at York Racecourse will run all day throughout the festival from opposite York Railway Station starting at 11.30am.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

There are no age restrictions to entry to the festival but all under 18 year olds must be accompianed by an adult. This is to allow families to attend. Under 18's can get free entry to the festival but are required by the terms of our licence to leave the festival by 8pm.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

A special festival bus service number 198, in association with York Pullman, will operate on all 4 days of the festival. This will start from York Railway Station at 11.30am departing every hour from stand RJ opposite the Station until 9.30pm. The bus will leave the Racecourse for York Railway Station at 12noon and then every hour until 9.30pm and then every 20 minutes until 11.30pm.

What can I bring into the event?

Within reason, you can bring what you think you need to make your day comfortable APART FROM ALCOHOL. We do advise you to travel as light as you can and we reserve the right to carry out checks on all backpacks & holdalls for obvious security purposes. You do not have to bring foldable chairs as we have a huge amount of seating both inside the marquee and outside in the large beer garden. The festival is wheelchair friendly.

We do allow dogs at the festival but they must be kept on a lead at all times. We would advise you NOT to bring your own beer glass as our licensing rules don't allow us to fill them. You can get a refundable festival polycarbonate glass on entry.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

email us at; comms@yorkbeerfestival.org.uk

What's the refund policy?

Except in extreme circumstances such as provable bereavement we do not refund tickets. You can email us to ask to swap to a different day if you find you can't make the original date you booked.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes you do as we need to scan it. Alternatively, you can display your ticket on your smartphone and we will scan the barcode.

Is my ticket transferrable?

If you can't make it you can let us know who will be using your ticket and we can allow entry. Although we do not check the ID of every ticket holder - we retain the right to do so if we suspect the ticket is stolen.

Is it OK if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes if you are part of a group and someone else bought all the tickets.
