**Number of Regular Tickets Available is the number of spaces left on the coach. If it looks low, that's a good thing!** Also, please add yourself, and invite friends, to this Facebook Event.
Called by National Campaign Against Fees and Cuts and the Education Activist Network, backed by NUS.
Coach by York St John: Resist the Cuts, the UoY anti-cuts group and York Stop the Cuts.
The march starts at 12noon outside University of London Union and will head to the City of London, the financial capital, to protest against creeping privatisation and marketisation in education. See these Facebook events for more information on the march: EAN // NCAFC.
We'll be setting off from Memorial Gardens, Leeman Road (7am, see map), with a pickup at the Roger Kirk Centre at the University of York (7.15), then down to London to join thousands of students, lecturers, school students and supporters to kick-start another year of fighting cuts, privatisation and attacks on our communities. We'll be leaving London and heading back north at around 5pm and calling in at the Roger Kirk centre before finishing up in town.
Sad News: Unlike last year, neither YUSU or YSJSU are prepared to put any money behind the transport for the march. If they change their minds, we'll give you some money back (unless you bought a £20 ticket). With the new Higher Education White Paper, things are more desperate for the future of our education than ever.
Exciting News: With more people connected to the Anti-Cuts movement than ever before, there's no reason to think this will be a small march, nor will it simply be a repeat of last year.
