Learn how we make chocolate at York Cocoa Works with our Chocolate Manufactory Tasting Journey.

11am and 3pm

During your time with us, one of our expert chocolate makers will share the secrets of our cocoa and how we transform it into chocolate. You will discover our origins and learn the rich history of chocolate making in York before taking a peek into our manufactory and watching our chocolate being made. This session concludes with a special tasting conducted by our cocoa connoisseur. You will sample the chocolate we make from cocoa beans all around the world, experiencing the different strengths and flavour notes in our range.

Following the journey, you are invited to join us in our Cocoa Cafe where you can use your ticket to enjoy further discounts across our whole product range.

Please note that we are limiting group sizes and bookings to one party per group.

To help us manage this process we ask that you select the date and time for your visit from those available and make a deposit payment for one adult reservation which will be deducted from your final bill on the day.

Our Covid-19 Measures

Our Chocolate Academy at York Cocoa Works is a spacious chocolate school where we are delighted to be able to accommodate you and your party. We would ask that you and your guests help us keep our activities and participants safe and well at this time by following the guidance of our team when you arrive.

Healthy and Safety Guidelines:

We currently allow a maximum of six guests per masterclass to adhere to social distancing and safety measures. Our priority is ensuring our customers and members of staff feel comfortable and safe during their experience with us. Cancellations and Refunds:

Please do not join us if you or your party are feeling unwell or are unsure about your symptoms are joining from a locked-down region of the country, or a member of your household is self-isolating.

Should you no longer be able to join us for your workshop we are able to issue refunds (less booking fee) up to 7 days in advance of your booking with us. For bookings cancelled up to 24 hours prior to your booking you will be offered availability on another workshop or activity at a similar value.
