The meeting room will open at 10:00 for discussion between attendees and the talk will start at 10:30.
Britain's railways are managed real time by its Route control centres. Network Rail's biggest and busiest control centre is located in the Rail Operating Centre at York.
This talk will provide a brief history, overview and insight into the work that goes on to run Britain's rail Network day to day, including incident management and train performance.
This will be a “live” online event using Zoom with a presentation and the opportunity to ask questions. For those of you who have not tried this, don’t worry! It is very simple to take part using either a computer or device such as an iPad or smartphone. An automatically generated live transcript (subtitles) will be available.
If you wish to attend the online meeting then you must register in advance. Click the green "Register" button to the right then the orange "Register" button on the page which follows. Finally, enter your name and email address and click the orange "Register" button again.
You will then shortly receive an "Order Confirmation" email containing an orange "Go to online event page" button. Click the button for further instructions.
