About this event
What happens at Roller Disc-o-tips?
Expect roller disco vibes, with mini-workshops to improve your skating from our coaches, and even optional games.
Quad and inline skaters are welcome. Due to limited space, we are not able to allow non-skating spectators in the gymnasium. If you require a carer, please contact us.
Roller skating is hard at any age! We expect all skaters to encourage each other - and we pride ourselves in holding space for those with less experience.
I'm a complete beginner, can I come?
We are happy for you to attend, and will have a 'getting started on your skates' mini-workshop, however you will need lots of courage and feel confident to have a go yourself too. We offer structured classes for complete beginners at our studio in Leeds.
Will hire skates be available?
Fulford School is not our usual venue, so we are only able to bring pre-booked skate hire. Booking closes at 9am on Saturday 20th September. We will also bring protective gear for pre-booked skates.
Is this a coached session?
While our coaches will offer coaching tips during the session - listen out for skills being covered and join in if you want to - it's Saturday afternoon, so we want to bring fun disco vibes! Feel free to join in with any dancing or mini workshop you would like to!
Will refreshments be available?
We will not be providing any refreshments during the session. Please ensure you sit down if you are having a drink. Drinks in a bottle with a non-spill lid only please. If you have open cans, please leave these outside the gymnasium. No food in the gymnasium, including chewing gum.
Ticket Terms and Conditions:
This is an over-18s only session. No under-18s will be able to attend, even if they are not skating.
All identities and genders are welcome.
We welcome inline skaters. Skateboards, scooters and heelys are not allowed.
You authorise The Skate Sanctuary staff and volunteers to take photographs and video of the session to share on their website and social media. Please speak to the team if you do not wish your image to be included.
Published event times reflect venue availability time - you may be asked to remove your skates up to 10 minutes before the published end time in order for us to clear the venue on time.
We are happy to refund/reschedule tickets if you tell us by email more than 24 hours in advance of the session. Please email skate@rollergirlgang.co.uk We are not able to accept cancellations via social media DMs.
