Event description

Description

The Royal College of Physicians is running this series of free workshops for healthcare professionals. Its aim is to use the findings of the Fracture Liaison Service Database to help drive quality improvement (QI) at the local level. There will be two regional FLSDB workshops in March 2018, one in York and one in Nottingham; both will follow the same format. We will have sessions from QI experts and workshops to embed learning. The aim will be to enable attendees to take forward quality improvement initiatives as a multidisciplinary team to drive quality improvement within your services.

The purpose of the workshops is also to share learning about how to participate in the FLSDB, as we know that some FLSs are encountering barriers to participating in the audit and we want to work collaboratively to overcome these barriers.

The workshop in York will be chaired by Clare Cockill, FLS advisory group member and Osteoporosis & Fracture Liaison Nurse Specialist at Yeovil .It will include sessions hosted by local FLSs around their experiences of participating in the FLSDB and the challenges they've faced. Representatives from the National Osteoporosis Society will also attend to share their knowledge around building business cases based on FLSDB data. The full agenda will be circulated prior to the event. CPD points are in the process of being applied for, therefore CPD points may be available for these workshops. If you have any specific access or dietary requirements please email flsdb@rcplondon.ac.uk.
