Yorkshire 3 Peaks in 3 Days with The Mountain Girl


Take on the famous Yorkshire 3 Peaks — at your own pace.Instead of rushing to complete all three in one go, we’ll spread the challenge across three days, giving you time to enjoy the landscape, build confidence, and celebrate every summit along the way.


Itinerary


Day One – Pen-y-ghent (694m)


  • Meet your guide and group in Horton-in-Ribblesdale for introductions & safety briefing.
  • Begin the hike up Pen-y-ghent, the smallest but steepest of the three peaks.
  • Take your time tackling the climb — we’ll pause often to soak up the views.
  • Gentle descent and return to Horton.
  • Evening: group meal and overnight stay (optional accommodation add-on).


Day Stats:📏 Distance: ~10 km⬆️ Elevation Gain: ~500 m⏱ Duration: 4–5 hours (easy–moderate pace)


Day Two – Whernside (736m)


  • After breakfast, transfer to the Ribblehead Viaduct area.
  • Follow a steady, scenic path that climbs gradually to Whernside, the highest of the three peaks.
  • Sweeping views of the Dales from the summit.
  • Descend via a circular route, passing iconic landmarks.
  • Evening free to relax, stretch, and share stories with the group.


Day Stats:📏 Distance: ~12 km⬆️ Elevation Gain: ~600 m⏱ Duration: 5–6 hours (steady, moderate pace)


Day Three – Ingleborough (723m)


  • Final peak of the challenge!
  • Start from Clapham or Chapel-le-Dale (depending on conditions).
  • The route climbs gradually before the final push to the summit plateau.
  • Celebrate with group photos at the top of Ingleborough.
  • Descend at a relaxed pace, finishing with tea & cake to mark your achievement.


Day Stats:📏 Distance: ~11 km⬆️ Elevation Gain: ~550 m⏱ Duration: 5 hours (gentle, steady pace)
