Is this a hybrid event?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can purchase a ticket for virtual or in-person attendance. While this is intended as an in-person event, we recognise that not everyone will be able to travel to Sheffield. Please note that if you wish to swap the mode of attendance, you will need to contact us at yhoda@sheffield.ac.uk.

Question 2

How will I join if I choose to attend online?

Accepted Answer

You will be sent a link to join online via Google Meet a couple of days before the event. We recommend that you use a device with a working microphone so that you can join in conversations  with fellow attendees.

Question 3

Do I need to bring anything with me if I am attending in-person?

Accepted Answer

Ideally, you should bring a fully charged laptop so that you can get the full experience. You will use your laptop to access a prototype version of YEP via a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox). We have a limited number of laptops that we can lend to attendees on a 'first come, first served' basis.

Question 4

Can I park my car at the building?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, there is no car park associated with the building. However, there are a number of paid parking spaces around the area. We recommend viewing these on Google Maps and planning accordingly.

Can I be reimbursed for my travel to the event?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, we cannot reimburse attendees. If you are unable to attend in person, please consider joining us virtually.
