Yorkshire & Humber ESOL Lunchtime Showcase
ESOL & Digital Learning Sharing and Discussion
Please join us for our next online ESOL Lunchtime Showcase session. This session is a follow on from our ESOL & Digital Learning Showcase on June 4th 2025.
In this session, we will look again at issues around the delivery of ESOL in the context of and through digital learning. As in the June session, the focus was on the following key questions:
- How can we deliver effective ESOL learning remotely, through digital platforms?
- How can we effectively integrate the language and practices of the digital world into Entry level ESOL learning?
- What are good strategies for integrating ESOL learners into digital skills classes?
At our session, we had two fantastic presentations: by Lucy Morley and Jane Middleton of Hope English in South Yorkshire, and Jemma Barzey of North Yorkshire Adult Learning & Skills. You can view the recording of the event here. We will also share a short summary of key points made in the June session with those registered for our 16th September Showcase, at least a week before the event.
In this follow up we encourage colleagues across our region to share a short contribution, either to share experiences, initiatives and challenges related to ESOL and Digital Learning, or to discuss the issues raised by our June session. Please do let us know if you would like to present something in a short, 5 minute slot by mailing us at info@yhmesh.org.uk.
Whether you are interested to present or not, please do join us to discuss issues around ESOL and digital learning. Let’s continue the discussion and share ideas.
This event takes place on Teams. Details will be supplied to those registered.
