Yorkshire Industrial Collections Network – Brew up

In these challenging times it is important that we have a chance to keep in touch to share issues impacting on our sector and to support one another.

We have held several successful Yorkshire Industrial Collections Network meeting on line.

For this next meeting we will have speakers from the National Coal Mining Museum for England. Stephanie Thompson will speak about their recent ‘A Light in the Darkness’ exhibition about Humphrey Davey and the invention of the safety lamp. This exhibition was funded by AIM Biffa Award as part of the History Makers programme.

Amy Boothroyd, will speak about our Science Capital programme which links nicely to the Davy exhibition as it is all about engaging young people with STEM subjects. There will also be a chance to share information and news about your organisations.

To get involved the meeting book a free ticket and the link for the meeting on MSTeams will be sent to you.
