Event description

Description

If you lead a church that has between 10 and 30 young adults in the congregation, we would love you to join us for a consultation looking at how we can best reach people in their twenties.

There has been much talk about people of this age being a "lost generation" for the Church. There are, however, many shoots of hope in parishes around the Diocese. What is especially interesting is that these are being expressed in different ways.

This consultation is aimed at being an initial gathering of incumbents to look at those shoots and to start exploring what is and isn't working for us. We are hoping that this will enable us to start looking at new ways of engaging with young adults in and through our churches.

This is very much the beginning of a process, and out of this we want to explore different aspects of ministry with young adults, as well as looking to provide support, encouragement, mentoring and training in this area. If common themes emerge we may well also want to look at asking key people to help us look into this more deeply, including young adult leaders.

The event begins at 11am, and refreshments will be served from 10.30am. We will be providing a light lunch.
