Young & Connected are proud to be hosting an event in collaboration with Somewhereto_ for The Highstreet Heist.
On 14 Aug we will be offering the opportunity to graduates and undergraduates to find out more about the the current trends in the job market and help give advice to people who are looking to find a job. We will have representatives from the Freshminds team come down and and share their thoughts on the job markets and how candidates should be differentiating themselves in order to gain the right job.
We will also be having other corporate companies come down and speak to people about what is on offer at their respective firms and share their experience about what they are seeing.
As its a Y&C event we will also be adding our twist to the event in terms of networking games and much more so make sure you come down and spread the word about what is sure to be a very informative night for undergraduates and graduates alike.

More about the Speakers
Freshminds are a company with a mission - to provide our clients with the best people for every job, every time. These people will make a difference in our client's organisation with their leadership skills, intellectual rigour and drive to succeed.
FreshMinds Talent has ambitions to be the best recruitment and interim consultancy in the UK with offices in London and Edinburgh. We know what a difference a great person can make to your team, and we strive to deliver this every time. Our business is focused on offering the best service and finding the best people in all our markets and industries.
We believe that if you hire the very best talent, you will reap rewards for your business far beyond the investment in a good quality recruiter.
From Graduate Recruitment and Experienced Talent to Interim Consulting – we don’t feel the job is done until we hear that our candidates or consultants are the outstanding members of your team.
TeachFirst’s vision is that no child's educational success is limited by their socio-economic background. We train and support people with leadership potential to become inspirational teachers in schools in low income communities across the UK. These teachers change lives. They help young people believe in themselves, and empower them to build a future they may not have believed possible.
Each year, a new group of trainees join us and our university partners for six weeks of intensive training before teaching in one of our partner schools for at least two years, where they achieve a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). Their training and passion for educational equality means that they are dedicated to raising the aspirations of the young people in their classrooms.

The campaign kicked off on July 18th and across the UK, young people will be empowered and supported to take over disused shop spaces over the summer. The activity will showcase talents, ideas, enterprises and ambitions to local communities and beyond.
