Luke Cuthbert, Art of Football
Art of Football Ltd is the creation of Nottingham brothers Gabe & Luke Cuthbert. The website was launched on 4th December 2013 when Gabe was still doing A levels and Luke was in the final year of his Biology degree at Leeds. In that first 3 weeks up to Christmas they had 50 orders. Now they employ 12 full time staff plus seasonal temporary workers, have a studio in London and are currently looking for bigger premises in Nottingham. In the 3 weeks to Christmas 2021 they had nearly 12,000 orders and have customers in 56 different countries. So far this year they shared collaborations with Mitre, Nike and Umbro.
Al Squires, Barratt Squires & Associates
Al started BS+A during his final year at Nottingham Trent University when he and co-founder Will Barratt found themselves stuck in their flat during the Covid lockdown in early 2021, frustrated, and keen to support struggling businesses. Their first major project involved leading the transformation of a struggling franchise street food restaurant into a new underground cocktail bar called Code 34.
Following the success of Code 34, their business has continued to grow, taking on many new clients with the focus on creative and marketing-based projects and services. BS+A is an integrated creative consultancy made up of forward-thinking associates driven by a passion for growth — and fuelled by intense curiosity.
This panel discussion and networking event has been specifically designed for young creatives aged 16-25, to inspire and encourage young people to think about pursuing a career in the Creative Industries in Nottingham.
Everyone is welcome, but if you are based in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire and run a creative or digital business, or have an idea for one you would like to start, we recommend you also enrol for The Big House programme. You can find out more information about this programme at bighouse.org.uk.
