Young DNA Day.
A free science workshop for young adults.
The day will work through three experiment stations exploring how our DNA looks, works and how it changes depending on our experiences.
We’ve all heard the term DNA but it’s difficult to imagine how much importance it has within us. This is a science workshop for young adults to exlpore how our DNA a microscopic strand of information connects us all.
Young adults will experience extracting DNA from vegetables, discuss how the experiences we go through can change our DNA and leave with their own created model of DNA. The event will shed light on a fairly well known but misunderstood concept, mixing science, society and culture for young adults.
There are limited spaces open to all young adults. All are welcome to participate and leave any time from 10:30 to 16:30.
