Description

50inTech and Balderton Capital present:

Young families and young startups: can it be done?

Join us for a lively discussion with both male and female founders, followed by refreshments - and a chance to meet our panellists.

A growing company requires love, total dedication, constant attention, and on occasion - sleep deprivation. But what happens when the same is also expected of you as a parent?

In honour of International Women’s Day, 50inTech will be hosting its first ever London meetup, in partnership with Balderton Capital, exploring the conflicting demands of family and startups:

  • Do you have to choose between starting a family and starting a business?

  • Can you take parental leave if your company is in its infancy?

  • How do you have these conversations with your venture partners, your board, and your team?

  • Do these concerns put women off entrepreneurship?

We are inviting three female and two male entrepreneurs to get real, answer honest questions about their experiences, and offer advice on how to adapt to ever-changing needs of growing companies and family.

PANEL SPEAKERS

Marie Outtier, Founder and CEO of Aiden.ai - an AI-Powered analyst that automates time-consuming optimisations and produces improvement recommendations for busy marketers.

We look forward to welcoming you for an evening at Balderton's offices in Kings Cross, London.

About 50inTech

Women in Tech are the invisible force for growth: gender-mixed startups generate 12% more revenue per dollar invested than all-male founded teams. Yet, women-led startups are underrepresented and underfunded.*

To crack to code on diversity in Tech, 50inTech is building a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) to uncover, promote and connect Women in Tech. Our ambition is to close the funding gap and build a qualified pipeline of women-led startups for investors, incubators, accelerators and corporates to diversify their portfolio.

The beta version of our PaaS will be released during VivaTech (16–18 May 19, Paris) with who we are organizing the "Female Founders Funding Challenge".

For the first meeting organized by 50inTech in London, founder Caroline Ramade will be present. Caroline is also Board Member of the French UN Committee for Women and Former Executive Director of the incubator WILLA (Paris), which supported 450 Women led-startups.
