Event description
The Young Leader Multi-Module Training Event will take place over six days from 4th Feb 21 until 9th Feb 21.

The Programme

Thur 4th – Module B – 1930 to 2100

Fri 5th - Modules C & J – 1900 to 2115

Sat 6th - Modules G & H – 1000 to 1330

Booking

In order to attend any of the modules on this event a YL MUST have completed Module A and have at least 6 months experience as a YL by the date of the course.

You can book for any or all of the modules. For an individual module on Fri/Sat or Sun requests please contact ed.sowells@cambridgeshirescouts.org.uk with details of your requirements after booking. The system does not allow me to list the Module with the date and time at the Registration page, so make sure you are booking the date and time from the list above that is for the module you want to attend.

When you get to the booking page headed Contact Information fill in the parent/carers name and email address. Under Ticket 1: General Admission put the name and details of the Young Leader attending the course. This will ensure all of the emails will be addressed to the parent/carer and the presenters will know the name of the attendee.

What happens once you have booked?

The Contact will automatically receive an e-mail confirmation containing details of the date and time for which you have booked, but not the module, so check again to make sure you have booked for the module you require.

An automatic e-mail will be sent as a reminder 48 hours before the course is due to start.

On the day

The course online is interactive, and theory based for which we highly recommend a minimum of a PC/laptop or tablet is used, and if available, headphones with a built-in mic.

The times stated are the time the modules start, so please aim to log on and check in during the 15 mins before. You will be held in a lobby until the Host lets you in.

Make sure you have paper; a writing implement and refreshments to hand.

Wearing your scout scarf is optional.

The location

The course will be held on Zoom which you will be able to access using the link and password which will be emailed to you before the event.

Safeguarding

The courses will be presented in accordance to Scout HQ safety guidance. https://www.scouts.org.uk/volunteers/scouts-at-home/taking-scouts-online/staying-safe-online/. There will always be two adults on the training team in the online conference room to ensure safeguarding with password protection to enter the conference, to ensure we are keeping young people safe.

After the course

You will be emailed a certificate of attendance on the course(s) which you can keep with your logbook. If you have not yet received a logbook contact ed.sowells@cambridgeshirescouts.org.uk
