Event description

Description

Established in 2014, this year's Young Lipid Scientist Award continues to recognise the excellence and emerging talent in lipid-related research. Presentations will cover a broad range of fields across the physical and life sciences and engineering.

Following tough competition, six shortlisted candidates have been invited to give short oral presentations. The winner will be invited to present at the Euro Fed Lipid 2017 Congress in Uppsala. As well as the experience of exposure to top lipid scientists, the winner will receive a cash prize of £100 and all shortlisted applicants will be given one year of complimentary SCI membership to allow them to expand their network further.

Academics and early career scientists are particularly encouraged to attend this conference to learn about some of the latest research in the lipids field, whilst also enabling PhD students to develop their skills.
