Young Minds Day
Tuesday, 16 May 2017 from 09:00 to 15:00 (BST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Join Mayfield Patients Awareness Group and Healthwatch Hampshire for an all day event with planned speakers making presentations about mental health issues in young persons.
In the first half of the day, there will be assigned speakers to present information on how and where to get help, how to recognise when professional help is due to a young person regarding mental health and what the causes of metal health issues there are in young people now. Anyone is able to come and listen to this information and increase your awareness of mental health.
The second half of the session is particularly intended to reach to young people, to their parents and carers and individuals in small group sessions, listening to other organisations on how young people can look after their health and wellbeing. It will also be an opportunity for people to share experiences they have had in recent NHS mental health services and say what is good and what needs improving.
Does this sound like you? Are you interested? The come along to this event to increase your knowledge of today’s pressures for young people, to recognise when a young person may need professional help and to tell us what you think about the services available. An agenda will be sent to your email before the event to include key speakers and who will be attending throughout the day to get information from.
You can park at the Pinehurst car park, which is a 6 minute walk to the Rushmoor council offices. Click here for directions from Pinehurst car park to Rushmoor Council offices.
