About this event
Join us at our Young Onset Dementia Conference: Improving Clinical Understanding and Care Pathways for Younger People Living with Dementia.
This special conference is a dynamic one-day event bringing together healthcare professionals, researchers, carers and advocates to explore the unique challenges and opportunities in the diagnosis, treatment and care of people with young onset dementia (YOD). Get ready for a day filled with informative sessions, engaging discussions and networking opportunities, including:
💬 Keynote presentation from Dr Jeremy Isaacs, National Clinical Director for Dementia and Older People's Mental Health at NHS England
🎬 Award-winning film screening of 'If Not Now, When?' followed by a live Q&A
💡 Workshops focused on person-centred care, support for children and carer support
🗣️ Talks on genetics and rare diagnoses in YOD
🤝 Peer networking and the chance to connect with experts across disciplines
Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience The Virtual Dementia Tour, led by Training2Care. Through the use of specially designed equipment, you will be able to see, hear, feel and interact with the world in the same ways that people living with dementia might. The tour is the only medically and scientifically proven method that allows a person with a healthy brain to experience what dementia might be like. This unique experience will allow you to develop a level empathy and understanding that is just simply not achievable through traditional training methods.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
All in all, this conference will empower attendees with new clinical insights, practical tools and a deeper understanding of how to improve care pathways for younger people living with dementia. Don't miss this chance to connect with others in the community and learn from experts in the field. Register now to secure your spot!
