The aim of this conference is to celebrate the collaboration between Wallsend Children's Community and the young researchers of Burnside College as they report on the 2024/2025 research projects cycle.
This full-day event comprises a morning of talks that give a theoretical background to the work, as well as placing it in context for 2025.
This will be followed by an afternoon workshop on Root Cause Analysis as a way of enabling students to develop research skills.
The aims of the day are to:
- Celebrate the work of young people involved in the project.
- Disseminate the work within the regional, national and international higher education research community.
- Build awareness of the importance of this research with local and regional politicians.
- Develop connections with local community and business groups to further this research work.
- Provide a space to develop symbiotic connections between primary, secondary and higher education.
- Showcase the work of Wallsend Children’s Community and Burnside College.
- Provide a platform for the launch of Year 2 of this research project.
- To highlight the potential support that NIHR can leverage to develop Health and Care research in schools.
We hope to see you there!
