Description

This exciting event is the second law conference on young people's legal rights. It is aimed at solicitors, barristers, law students, young people, parents and organisations working with young people and children to update and inform you of the legal rights of young people and children under inter alia the Children Act, Children’s and Families Act, Care Act, and Housing Act, how to access help and what remedies are available if your legal rights are breached.

Seminar sessions will focus on areas including: the legal rights of looked after young migrants and children up to 25; young people’s legal rights to mental health assessment and service provision; young people’s housing rights 18+; s17 Children Act 1989 NRPF family rights; registering Children as British Citizens; and disabled children’s rights.

Seminar speakers include Shu Shin Luh, Tim Baldwin and Connor Johnston of Garden Court Chambers, Mary-Rachel McCabe of Doughty Street Chambers, Miranda Lickert of Project 17 and Solange Valdez-Symonds of PRCBC.

Ticket prices include refreshments and lunch.
