About the Facilitator:

Sarah trained at East 15 Acting School. Sarah is also a qualified ISTD Dance teacher and has taught in local Saturday dance schools for 20 years. Whilst training she worked professionally chaperoning young people in theatre, film and television. This led to BBC’s EastEnders creating a ‘Head of Children’ role for her, which she held for 8 years. Sarah’s role at EastEnders involved supporting all young performers aged 0-25 on and off screen. Recruiting, training and managing chaperones, consulting and advising editorial teams with child related content and casting babies and toddlers for the TV show.

Sarah now works as a Children’s Casting Director, Administrator & Safeguarding Lead across multiple West End and Touring Theatre Productions. Her training, teaching experience and 20 years of Chaperoning in the entertainment industry influences her casting practice.
