Young Qld Club x Australian Wildlife Conservancy
Event Information
Description
It's our first event of the decade! This time we're teaming up with Friends of Australian Wildlife Conservancy for our February Drinks at Little Creatures Brewery.
We'll be kicking off the evening with a talk from Lizzy Crotty from Friends of Australian Wildlife Conservancy. Lizzy will be telling us about the AWC's efforts in Australia, including their unique approach to conservation, and the endangered species they have been reintroducing to their natural habitats.
We've all been watching the terrible bushfires from afar, but here is a story of hope - None of AWC's properties have been directly affected by the fires. Their land is now more important than ever to provide refuge for surviving wildlife, so Lizzy will also be telling us how we can support the AWC, even while we live abroad.
So come for Australia's little creatures, and stick around for some pints of Little Creatures!
We've got some more plans for the evening, so stay tuned here for updates. This is a free event and all are welcome, whether Aussie or otherwise. No need to book tickets, just turn up!

Friends of Australian Wildlife Conservancy is a UK-based non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation of Australia's wildlife through support of organisations like the Australian Wildlife Conservancy. Through support from donors and innovative partnerships with Indigenous groups, governments and landholders, Australian Wildlife Conservancy is the largest private owner of land for conservation in Australia, protecting endangered wildlife across more than 6.5 million hectares in iconic regions such as the Kimberley, Cape York, Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre and the Top End.
* Who are the Young Qld Club?
https://www.youngqldclub.co.uk/
The Young Queensland Club was established to create a network of young Queenslanders based in the UK and facilitate personal and professional connections stemming from our shared experience. We're keen to connect Queenslanders - and people with an interest in Queensland - from diverse industries and backgrounds to share their experience of living in London, whether that's swapping advice on getting settled in the UK, creating work opportunities, or setting up networks for a move back to Australia.
