Young Shot’s are invited to join BASC on Saturday 23rd August for a Clay shooting / Field to fork day at Steve Smiths Shooting Ground in Newcastle.
Youngsters will be split into groups based on shooting experience and will shoot a range of simulated targets including pigeon, pheasant and rabbits under the guidance of our BASC coaching staff.
There will also be a Field to Fork pigeon plucking session where the youngsters will be guided by our expert staff on how to pluck, prepare and cook wood pigeon. The youngsters will get chance to taste the wood pigeon skewers once cooked.
The day is suitable for novices as well as those with some shooting experience and looking to develop their shooting and game preparation skills.
Breakfast butties, tea and coffee are provided as part of the price. The cafe at the ground will also have food and drinks available to purchase at lunch time.
Youngsters will need to bring suitable outdoor clothing for the expected weather. All other equipment will be provided but if your youngster has their own shotgun, they are welcome to bring it with them. Please ensure relevant certificates are also present on the day.
This event is open to both BASC Junior Members and Non-members.
Cost: BASC Junior Member: £25.00 per person. Non member: £30.00 per person.
Time: 09:30 – 15:00. Once you’re Youngster has been signed in/registered with one of our staff, you may then leave and return at 14.30 to collect them or you are welcome to stay and watch..
Age: Minimum 10 years (please contact us if your youngster is less than 10 years old). Maximum age 18 year.
Please note:
Ticket fees will only be refunded up to 7 days before the event.
If you wish to cancel your ticket the booking fee, which is absorbed by BASC on booking, (approx. £2.68) will not be refunded.
If BASC cancel the event you will receive a full refund.
