BASC are hosting a small driven game day, for junior members on a shoot near Ashbourne, Derbyshire.
Young shots will learn to shoot safely at a range of driven birds under the guidance of BASC mentors.
This event is aimed at young shots who have some shooting experience and want to experience driven game shooting.
Age: Minimum 10 years (Please contact us if your YS already shoots and is less than 10 years old). Maximum age 18 years.
Young Shots will need to wear suitable warm and waterproof outdoor clothing and footwear for the expected weather.
Safety equipment and shotguns will be provided but if your Young Shot has their own shotgun, they are welcome to bring it.
On the day we will be using non-lead ammunition so if your young shot is bringing their own shotgun it will need to be a nitro proofed 12 or 20 gauge shotgun with 2 ¾ chambers and be choked at less than half. Cartridges will be provided.
Time: 8:00 – 15.30. Once your child has signed in/registered with us, you may then leave and return at 3:30pm to collect them.
Food and refreshments will be provided at the elevenses break. We will also be providing the young shots with hot chip butties at the end of the day.
