Young Women and Girl's Conference - Freedom17
29 April 2017 from 10 am to 18.00 hrs . A One Day Conference for Young Women from the ages of 16- 30 hosted by Migrant Family Support.
Young women from BME Migrant Communities are often on the fringes of society and struggle with identity and "fitting" into the society that they live in . Some young women have experienced sepration from their parents and they have unresolved issues that are affected their wellbeing. At Freedom we will unpack some of those issues and support young women to start life "Free" with no limitations based on their past , decisions made by their parents or other issues .
Freedom is a Conference where teaching and minstry is based on Christian Biblical Principles , however it is open to anyone of any religion to attend .
Delegates are asked to bring a packed lunch or they can purchase a packed lunch for £5 on Saturday .
Admission is free however donations are welcome to assist in paying for the conference .
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
We have pitched the content for young women between the ages of 16- 30 however those who are young at heart are welcome to attend . We are unable to cater for those under 16 due to safeguarding rules. Under 16s can attend if they are accompanied by an adult.
What are my transport/parking options
- There is limited parking in front of the building but free on the street parking is available in the area near the Conference.
What can I bring into the event?
- Bring a notepad and a pen. Bring water some tissues and wear comfortable clothes. Bring your friends too. You can bring packed lunch or purchase it on site for £5
