The National Alliance of Women's Organisations is delighted to be hosted by Baroness Verma to hold this exciting exploration into the role young women and girls have to play in calling for their rights, and how they can be supported and enabled by all stakeholders to play their part in decision-making and the effort to end Violence Against Women and Girls.
This event will also be part of a day's lobbying together with our morning event with Jess Phillips MP in the House of Commons. We look forward to a day's celebration and activism as part of the culmination of our Young Women's Alliance Advance initiative. Young women will be centre stage, having the chance to use the knowledge, confidence and capacity gained throughout the programme to share their experiences, views and hopes for the future, and achieving a world where women and girls are free from violence.
We are excited to engage in this critical and timely event as part of the #16days of activism, with all those interested - from those in the charity sector, activists, those interested promoting the rights of young people and women and girls, and passionate people of all genders and ages.
Further details of speakers to be announced shortly! Until then take a look at YWA Advance or @NAWOYouth for more information, or see our website for more information on recent events, or our previous activist's guide and indicators report events at the relevant links.
If you haven't attended an event in the Houses of Parliament before, it is worth bearing in mind that there can be delays in getting through security so you may wish to budget a bit more time for this, just in case. Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to seeing you there!
