We all know massage helps us feel better, but did you know your gut is one long muscle that also loves a rub?

Please only sign up for this offering only if you can attend in person.

The Basics Series – Your Abdominal and Digestive Health

www.abdominaltherapycollective.com

Come learn about your body, your abdomen, the wondrous world of your friendly bacteria, and how caring for yourself on a deep and profound level can not only support absorption and elimination but also your overall health and well-being.

Hippocrates said " All disease starts in the Gut" your gut is not only a place to digest food, it has its own nervous system and it is a major component of your immune system.

This workshop is for anyone with a belly who would like to live in harmony within and without. The class is also a taster of things to come for those who have a professional interest in Abdominal Therapy

What will we cover?

  • The story of Dr. Rosita Arvigo and the Traditional Healers who shared their wisdom with her
  • Simple anatomy and physiology of the digestive tract and the intriguing relationship between your Two Brains
  • Why and how to care for your l friendly bacteria
  • YAM - ‘Your Abdominal Massage’ is a simple and effective self-care treatment.
  • Additional information on lifestyle changes that can have a profound impact on your digestion and how you feel.
  • Explore any specific questions you may have about your journey

What’s included and what do I need to bring?

A rich, four-and-a-half hours of easy-to-access information including techniques to help you help keep your gut in tip-top condition.

After the class, I will send you PDFs with all you need to know and some useful resources.

I invite you to create a comfortable space so that you are free to engage with this powerful work without distractions.

Make sure you have made something delicious and nourishing to sustain you and bring plenty of fluid.

A yoga mat and pillow may be useful although not essential

Have some massage oil by your side, this can be as simple as coconut oil or luxurious as your favourite body oil. A hand towel is also a useful addition.

If you like to take notes then do, but if you like to just sit and enjoy the experience that's fine too.

Dress code

The most important thing is to be cosy and comfortable.

You will be massaging your own belly, so please wear loose clothes that you can have easy access to your abdomen, elasticated waists easily to pull up tops are the way to roll in this class.

What happens next?

Once you sign up you will receive a welcome email from Eventbrite with a link to register with the Abdominal Therapy Collective (ATC) to attend this offering via the Student Portal.

After completing the ATC student registration I will email some more info and a form 'Your Health Story'.

I invite you to take the time to complete this as far as you are comfortable and return it to me via email before the event begins. (Keep a look out as my emails sometimes end up in the SPAM folder). I need to know that is safe for you to massage your own belly, this is an important step.

Knowing a little about your personal challenges are, enables me to serve you better and tailor the class towards your needs.

Upon receipt of Your Health Story, I will be in touch with some pre-class viewing, a short film all about Abdominal Therapy, its origins and the power of the work.

So don't delay sign up today!
