Your Forest and its Founder - Heart of England Forest Guided Walk

By The Heart of England Forest

Overview

A tour of the earliest woodlands created with tales of our founder; publisher, poet and planter of trees Felix Dennis.

Join us on a winter walking tour of the woodland around the former home of our founder, Felix Dennis, led by Forest Team member and former assistant to Felix, Toby.

What to expect:

On this gentle walk and talk you'll learn about Felix’s background, what brought him to live in Dorsington, and when his love affair with trees started.

You'll also hear about the history of the Heart of England Forest and the charity’s vision for a greener, healthier future, and have the opportunity to ask questions as we go.

This walk of around 2.5 miles will include Ralph's Wood, the first woodland planted by Felix, The Arboretum he created, and Dorsington Wood where he is buried.
