Join us at Cafe Z Bar on Wednesday 6 August at 7.30pm for a lively discussion on the fight for our future. In just three days, Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana's new party had half a million sign-ups and was leading the polls - before even having a name! How can we make it party which the working class and young people can genuinely control in all our interests?
Fighting for jobs, homes and services for all - and socialist change that takes the power and wealth out of the hands of the big bosses for good. Linked to the huge power of the trade unions, mass democratic organisations representing millions of workers with the power to stop the billionaires in their tracks through strike. What's needed to achieve this?
The Socialist Party convened a public meeting of a thousand trade unionists on 21 July, attended by Jeremy and Zarah, calling on them to press ahead and to put the working class in the driving seat. Days later, the announcement came. Our members and supporters in Unite won that union's conference to suspending deputy PM Angela Rayner from membership and looking at breaking with Starmer's Labour Party. Join us to discuss how we can fight for more together.
