29th September 2016
6-9pm (welcome buffet from 5pm)
Join Jon Ralph, Chairman at the Academy for Chief Executives, as business leaders come together to understand the economy in a post-Brexit world. What happens next? How should your business strategy adapt to ensure you not only survive, but flourish? We will be joined by renowned Economist, Roger Martin-Fagg. Roger’s style is both informative and entertaining, and his presentation will increase our economic literacy and enable us to cut through the 'noise' and obtain a clearer picture of the new environment in which you run your business.
Roger Martin-Fagg graduated in economics from Leicester University in the late sixties. Having worked in the New Zealand Treasury for a couple of years, he returned to the UK to work in Corporate Planning in the Air Transport Industry. Roger was formerly a member of the senior faculty at Henley Management College. He has taught, consulted and designed tailored programmes for clients such as Greenalls, PowerGen, Harrisons and Crosfield, Lloyds TSB Group and The Economist.
Your host, Jon Ralph, is a Chairman at the Academy for Chief Executives, a peer-learning group of ambitious business leaders that all share a common goal: Growth – both business and personal. We guide and support our members on the journey to a healthier, wealthier, balanced life.
Jon suggests that in this post-Brexit period, “we owe it to ourselves, our staff and our stakeholders to keep our heads, focus on the controllables and think creatively. When the dust settles and the time is right, we need to get in our helicopter and check out our new landscape.” That time is 29th September, 3 months after the decision to leave the EU was taken.
