Event description

Description

CQC safety is not a tick box exercise it is a culture and philosophy..

This is the first of a series of workshops to ensure that your practice is and remains compliant with CQC and other requlatory bodies that affect dentistry by embracting a culture and philosphy of continued growth and improvement.

These workshops are sister trainings to Transform your Practice in 10 days, and support and supplement their content.

The CQC will inspect you by asking the following 5 questions about your practice.

• Is it safe?
• Is it effective?
• Is it caring?
• Is it responsive to people’s needs?
• Is it well-led?

In its document preparing for practice - dental teams learning outcomes for registration, the GDC states The skills required of registrants are covered in the following domains:
• Clinical
• Communication
• Professionalism
• Management and Leadership

From January 2018 the GDC will introduce enhanced CPD and you will be measured against the following four learning outcomes

Effective communication with patients, the dental team, and others across dentistry, including when obtaining consent, dealing with complaints, and raising concerns when patients are at risk;
Effective management of self, and effective management of others or effective work with others in the dental team, in the interests of patients at all times; providing constructive leadership where appropriate;
