About this event
Your Recovery, Your Community: The Celebration Event
The Ballroom, Winding Wheel Theatre, 13 Holywell Sreet, Chesterfield, S41 7SA on Monday 10th November 12-4.30pm.
Over the past year, Your Recovery, Your Community has travelled right across Derbyshire County - from Buxton, Bakewell, Bolsover, Belper, Swadlincote, Chesterfield, Ilkeston, and Dronfield. At each local community, and through interviews, surveys and conversations, we heard from people with lived experience of addiction and recovery, their families, and local communities.
Together, these voices amplified the strengths of local recovery communities, sharing innovative ideas, creativity and flexibility and unique insight into the resilience and needs to grow Lived-Experience Leadership, Recovery and Lived-Experience Recovery Organisations (LEROs).
Now it’s time to bring it all back together.
Back in May 2025, our launch event was held at the Winding Wheel Theatre, so it is fitting to return for a celebratory event. In this event, we will share the voices of Derbyshire County and the expertise and talent that had already existed across communities. We'll showcase the project's findings and themes, develop Lived-Experience Leadership and we will highlight the incredible lived-experience leadership across Derbyshire. This event is about connection, hope, and possibility.
