Your Studio Practice, in Balance with Professional Responsibilities - A Tal...
Tue 16 May 2017, 18:30 – 20:50 BST
Find yourself in the studio (wherever that is), not getting much done?
Wonder how much time you should be making art vs. doing computer work, such as email correspondence and social media?
Yearn to have an ongoing thread of creativity, no matter what else is happening in personal / professional life?
If you've answered 'Yes' to any of those questions, this evening talk with Q&A is for YOU!
Guest speaker Marcus McAllister, a full-time American-French artist who is based in Paris and exhibits internationally, will provide insight on having a productive studio practice that's full of creative development, all the while paying the bills and keeping on top of the 'business' side of being an artist today. The lessons and insights he'll share are based on his own experiences over several decades, as an artist who has made it despite the obstacles faced by moving to a foreign country, in a marketplace that is infamous for having closed doors.
