The Youth Cinema course is one year long and will involve one evening a week after school (during term-time) dedicated to learning to act for the screen. Beginning in March 2017, students will study performance and build up to the creation of a film showcase. The film premier will be screened at The Little Theatre Cinema, Bath in April 2018. The course is specifically designed to give performers the highest quality acting tuition and a performance showreel. This course can also be used as part of a DofE award (14-18 year olds only).

The Youth Cinema Foundation creates live performance and film events to enhance the lives of young people. Our mission is to create outstanding productions for and with young people and teach how to act in and “read and write” motion pictures.

We are a social enterprise aiming to inspire youth from all backgrounds to create and understand, rather than to only consume media. We want young people learn to understand this powerful medium and control it for themselves.

All tutors who work with the Youth Cinema Foundation are DBS (CRB) checked.
