Youth Commission Conference 2019
Event Information
About this Event
The Youth Commission's annual conference is back!
Want to learn more about mental health or perhaps you'd like some new and innovative ideas for an art workshop... our conference is the place for you.
This years event will take place at Les Ozouets Campus on Saturday the 9th of November from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm. Those attending will be able to choose from a range of workshops from leading UK third sector organisations that focus on the different issues faced by young people. There will also be plenty of opportunity to network with other people working with young people in our community.
This event is free to volunteers and staff of organisations that are signed up to the Youth Commission membership scheme. Tickets are available to all at the cost of £5.00. We also welcome parents, carers, young people, colleagues from other professions and members of the public to attend.
The conference timetable is as follows:
9:00 am - 9:30 am - Registration, Networking and Coffee morning
9:30 am - 9:45 am - Opening Speaker - Wayne Bulpitt CBE
9:45am - 10:15am - Young People and Mental Health Debate with guests
10:15am - 10:30am - Break
10:30am - 12:45pm - Workshop 1 - Download the workshop information here
12:45pm - 1:30pm - Lunch (provided)
1:30pm - 3:45pm - Workshop 2 - Download the workshop information here
3:45pm - 4:00pm - Evaluation and Finish
Workshop spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis. We would ask that individuals from the same organisation register for different workshops so that as many people can benefit from each one as possible. When workshops are sold out, if there are multiple people signed up, we may contact you to switch workshop.
We'd like to thank PwC for making this conference as accessible as possible by supported the event so that we can dramatically reduce the costs to participants.
