The Home Secretary presents the Youth Endowment Fund's new, free Toolkit - a resource to help you find solutions to violence that work.

About this event

We're excited to invite you to an online event, where the Home Secretary will launch our innovative new resource, the Youth Endowment Fund Toolkit.

The Toolkit is here to support your vital work, to make sure every child gets to live a life free from involvement in violence.

Even though we're all trying to make a difference, children are still at risk. One reason why it's so difficult to make change is because knowledge about what works to keep children safe is:

  • Hard to access, hidden behind journal paywalls or on complicated websites.
  • Hard to understand, written in complicated academic language without clear recommendations about what the evidence means for you, as a commissioner, policymaker or practicioner.

All of this means that solutions are hard to put into action.

The Toolkit is here to help change that, by presenting the evidence in a clear, accessible way.

Together with your knowledge of what your local community needs, it'll help you find the 'best bets' for activities that will truly make a difference for young people. That way, we can make sure children get the high quality, evidence-led services they deserve.

The launch event is an opportunity for you to:

  • Hear from the Home Secretary and Minister for Safeguarding about the role of evidence in tackling violence.
  • See a demonstration of the Toolkit in action.
  • Hear from leaders in local authorities, the police, youth justice services and in Violence Reduction Units, who'll explain how they'll use the Toolkit.
  • Ask questions of our expert panel, to get ideas about how you can use the Toolkit when you're commissioning new services or improving your existing ones.

We look forward to seeing you there.
