Pull on your wellies and wrap up warm to join local ecologist Tom Forward for a guided walk to see the rutting deer of Ashdown Forest.
The Education Team at Ashdown Forest are exited to host this special free event for young people funded by Fagus Anstruther Memorial Trust
We will make use of a thermal imaging camera to try to home in on some of the action. Please wear long sleeves and trousers and warm clothes - bring a torch."
"The Fallow Deer rut is peaking and the resident owls are asserting territorial dominance with shrieks and hoots, so it is a perfect time of year for a night walk. We will head out to look for tracks and signs of their presence and listen out for the deep grunts and antler clashes of sparring bucks under the cover of darkness."
The location for the walk will be confirmed in October after your ticket has been booked
Young People do not need to be accommpanied - but must be picked up promptly by 9pm
