With the current five year Youth Justice Strategy ending this year and consultations taking place to discuss next steps, this online forum will be a timely opportunity for professionals across the youth justice and children’s services sector to share some of the key learnings from the past five years and discuss the core priorities which should underpin the sector’s plans as we move beyond 2020.

One of the key features of the next steps is raising the age of referring children to the Children’s Hearing system from 16 to 18 years of age and this event will provide attendees with a platform to discuss this proposal and have their views fed back to Government for consideration.
