Youth Leader Training Day, Dublin, May 2017
Sat 6 May 2017, 10:00 – 16:00 BST
How can I help a young person who is addicted to pornography? What do I do if a young person says they have thoughts about taking their own life? How can I support a young person who struggles with self-harm?
As youth leaders we may not have all the answers, but we want to respond caringly, with practical help and with the hope, love and power of Jesus.
This training event is a unique opportunity for you and your team* to become better equipped to respond when these issues arise in the lives of your young people. We are bringing together contributors with professional expertise, personal experience and a Biblical perspective to help us understand the issues and respond to them practically and in the way of Jesus.
In each of these sessions we will cover:
- Background to the topic
- A personal story
- How does faith make a difference?
- How to help your young person
Book your places online now, or contact us if you have any queries, but don't miss this opportunity!
Your ticket includes tea/coffee and lunch, please email us (include your full name) if you have any special dietary requirements.
* This event has been developed primarily for volunteers and youth leaders (over 18) in churches and youth organisations but may also be helpful for parents or church leaders.
** UPDATE: We had planned to offer a seminar on Family Change but are no longer able to at this event. However, this does mean that all attendees can go to all three seminars rather than choosing two out of four.
