About this event

Community • City & Town

We would like to warmly invite you to join us for a Youth Community Campfire at Grow Wilder (Frenchay, Bristol, BS16 1EL) to celebrate the amazing work of young people in and around Bristol, on the evening of 16th September 2025, 6-8pm.

Community Campfires are a way of bringing people together to inspire local action for nature. Past themes have included wildlife gardening, running a community group, guerrilla food growing and building a wildlife pond, amongst other things. This campfire will give space for young people to shout about what they've been doing for nature in their community, learn from other young people and share their knowledge and passion.

We will not be having a real fire, we just use the name and don't hold actual campfires for environmental reasons. They do however represent as a way of bringing people together in a space for sharing stories, which is what campfires have traditionally done. It draws people in with warmth, light and time and fire is symbolic of change.

This event is open to all ages and is led by young people (open to anyone who wants to be inspired by youth-led projects and gain an insight into young people's priorities for and experience in nature).

There will be some amazing speakers + Q&A, time for networking and mingling, and enjoying being out in nature at Grow Wilder.

Getting there:

Grow Wilder (181 Frenchay Park Rd, Bristol, BS16 1EL) is well connected to walking, cycling and bus routes. If you're coming by bike, there are bike racks as you come in the main entrance of the site.

If travelling by car, Begbrook Social Club has kindly offered space in their car park which is located nearby - less than a five-minute walk away. If you have any accessibility needs, please let me know and we can get you access to park on site.

If coming by bus from central bristol the m1, m3 and m4 metrobuses run regularly, and stop at Begbrook, which is located at the back entrance of Grow Wilder.
