Two Day Course - Mental Health First Aiders

Please note, this training event is free. An invoice for £25 will be sent to delegates which will cover the cost of essential teaching resources to be taken away by each delegate.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is a course designed to train everyone who works or lives with young people aged between 8-18 how to support their mental health, provide help in an emergency and guide them towards the appropriate support.

What will I learn?

This course provides an in depth understanding of specific mental health issues and delivered in four manageable chunks:

− What is mental health?

− Depression and anxiety

− Suicide and psychosis

− Self-harm and eating disorders

It focuses on the issues faced by young people today and teaches how to promote protective factors. Completing the two-day course qualifies you as a Youth Mental Health First Aider.

Further information:

This course will take place over two days. All candidates will receive an extensive manual for reference and a certificate of completion.

Day 1: Monday 2nd December (9am-5pm)

Day 2: Tuesday 3rd December (9am-5pm)

Certificates will not be issued by MHFA England for late entries and early leavers, please ensure your time on both days is available prior to registering a place.
