This online course, led by Lynne Norman from the Methodist Children, Youth and Family Team and James Devenish from the Methodist Learning Network, is for those in the Methodist Church (paid or volunteer) who work with or support young people aged 8-18. It will teach you the skills and confidence to spot the signs of mental health issues in a young person, offer first aid and guide them towards the support they need. In doing so, you can speed up a young person’s recovery and stop a mental health issue from getting worse.

Please note, the cost covers the price of the course materials (which will be posted to your home address) and the Eventbrite fees. This training has a recommended retail price of £300 and we are offering it for a heavily subsidised price to those working for the Methodist Church.
Participants will need to attend all four sessions in order to complete the course and receive certification.
Once you have paid to reserve your place on the course, you will be sent a further link for registering with Mental Health First Aid England. We need you to complete this online form as soon as possible so your training materials can be sent to you.
