Youth Scotland's Training Forum will bring together member groups to talk about training and workforce needs in community-based youth work.

Introducing the Training Forum, a collaborative space where youth workers and volunteers from Youth Scotland member groups come together to shape the future of training and workforce development in community-based youth work.

We know from our in-person, online and e-learning training offer that the training needs of youth workers and volunteers and the young people they support changes. This forum is a space for honest conversation and collective action, aimed at ensuring our training pathways meets real, emerging needs across our membership.

The forum will provide an opportunity for you to :

• Share the challenges you facing around training delivery, workforce planning and capacity building in youth youth group and share your insights

• Collaborate on emerging priorities, from youth worker and volunteer induction to skills development and equalities goals

• Help influence Youth Scotland’s training design, ensuring it remains practical, high-quality and responsive to local needs

• Join a growing community of youth workers and volunteers committed to improving training across the sector

• Have your voice heard so we can share this at other national forums and discussions.

We will be looking for one or two workers per group to ensure we have as broad a range of groups, areas and views as possible.

Attending network meetings – please help us to make the most of the these network meetings with these simple steps:

1. Tell us if you cannot attend more than 24hrs in advance. This allows us to free up the space for another youth worker (many sessions are oversubscribed).
2. Check you can join with camera and microphone. Our online sessions are engaging, interactive and discussion-based – not a webinar format. Our members regularly tell us this is better learning and we are confident you will gain more.
3. Eventbrite sends you all your information by email. You will receive your ticket at booking and be sent a reminder – with any login details if online – approximately 24hrs in advance. If there are materials and handouts, your facilitator will send these too.
