Overview
We welcome youth workers, volunteers, youth researchers, and all those engaged or interested in youth work to the newly rebuilt Brighton Youth Centre to take part in:
What’s Going On? a chance to come together, share experiences, and explore key contemporary issues in youth work. Through discussions, workshops, and informal conversations, we hope to create a space where people can listen, think together and start conversations about where youth work is now - and how it might respond to a changing world.
Topics we plan to explore include:
- Youth Voice and Votes at 16
- Value of Open Access Youth Work
- Youth work and Palestine
- Supporting Trans Young People
- Gender, Youth Work, and the ‘Manosphere’
Why Come Along?
- To meet others working in or interested in youth work
- To discuss important issues and challenges in the field
- To reflect on the challenges and possibilities currently shaping youth work
- To share practice, explore ideas, and collaboratively consider next steps.
We will be going for an informal Curry after the event please indicate if you want to join us!
