Often flying insects get a bad rep- mosquitoes and moths, for example, are known for their 'nuisance' rather than the very important roles they play as pollinators in our delicate ecosystems 🕸️
In this beginner - friendly workshop, our visitor engagement ranger Lira will talk through the pollinators that can be found in and around London, their importance and ways we can protect them 🦋

What to expect:
🔍 Get up close to insect samples and practice identifying insects
🥟 Create seed dumplings to take home and encourage pollinators in your community
🎨 Using crafts to express what we've learnt/been inspired by
🧬Learn how citizen science projects like Buzz Map, which uses DNA analysis, can help us better understand pollinators and improve our conservation efforts
