Zamorra Trio

Sam Rodwell

Owen Bunting

Mark Reid Bulatovič

The Zamorra Trio is an exciting and innovative guitar trio that was founded at the Royal Northern College of Music. They have performed in concerts across the UK, notably at Buxton Arts Pavilion and Barnes Music Festival.

Through their love of chamber and contemporary music, they have decided to particularly focus on the work of Dutch composer Chiel Meijering and are currently undertaking a project to record high quality videos of his pieces.

In addition to this, they arrange movements of well known string quartets for guitar trio, including composers such as Ravel, Grieg and Shostakovich.

Earlier this year, they were semi-finalists and highly commended at the prestigious St. Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Competition in which they played their own arrangement of Grieg’s first string quartet and a work by Meijering.

They are currently working on a project to composer six new pieces for guitar trio from composers at the RNCM.

part of the regular series of light classics concerts hosted by St Laurence's Church, Chorley.

Tea and cake included.
